About Me
Pingkang Chen focuses on designing and developing immersive audio experiments, specifically on spatial hearing perception and evaluation. He has an in-depth background with all major spatial audio-related formats and off-the-shelf/custom equipment, enabling him to achieve immersive spatial audio interaction and user experience. He holds an MA in Audio Technology from American University, Washington, D.C. His work has been published by the Audio Engineering Society, where he received the Best Student Paper award at both the 157th (New York, 2024) and 159th (Long Beach, 2025) AES International Conventions. Outside of his work in immersive audio, Pingkang is a well-rounded musician with credits including national award-winning productions.
